They say everything is bigger in Texas and we are certain the organizers behind QuiltCon are agreeing with only two days to go before the doors are open to the Modern Quilt Guild's first show.  The show will be filled with tons of quilty education and also quilts, fabric, sewing machines . . . you name it, all as big as Texas.

Yesterday we took a field trip to visit our friend Leslie Bonnell at Stitch Lab. They were busy folding, prepping and getting ready to have everything you'd ever want in terms of FreeSpirit and Rowan fabrics on the show floor.  In addition to the Stitch Lab Make It Take It area of the booth, FreeSpirit and Rowan artists will be stopping by to meet and greet.  If you are going to be there, stop at booth 300 and sign up for the Stitch Lab's awesome daily giveaway gift bags including a Denyse Schmidt extravaganza, Anna Maria Horner crafty bag, FreeSpirit goodies like Valorie Wells fabric and projects plus items from Parson Gray, Tula Pink, Verna Mosquera and more; and a Rowan bag filled with Kaffe and Amy Butler goodies.

QuiltCon only days away! Will you be there?

QuiltCon, February 21-24, 2013 in Austin, TX,  is the first modern quilt show and conference of it’s kind, and will incorporate a juried quilt show (with cash prizes), vendors, lectures and workshops  from top modern quilters, including FreeSpirit designers Denyse Schmidt, Anna Maria Horner, Valori Wells and David Butler as well as Rowan artist Amy Butler.

Will you be there?  We hope so.  If you are, please stop by booth 300, Stitch Lab from Austin, TX, to visit with some of our designers.  They would love to meet you, talk fabric and autograph a book or even your fabric.
