I can't cook either and I managed our milking farm as a teen right into college (those cows put me thru college).

Dear Dena,

I have nothing in common with you except I've known my husband since I was 20 yrs old as my boy friend for 25 yrs and as husband for last 20 yrs : ) and I am totally in love with your designs. Drawing has been my passion since I was in elementary school and I am an awesome cook.

You are no. 1 in my fav designers list. I am total fan of your drawings/fabric . Just curious about your philosophy behind naming your collection. They have East Indian names . I am from India and that was first thing which made me curious about your fabrics.

I have planned couple of bag with your fabrics for summer. Will post it in your FB page once I finish it.

The only thing I have in common with Dena other than the love of beautiful colors and her gorgeous fabrics is #4.

In my opinion I'm not a very good cook. I also enjoy flea markets and garage sales. One other thing we have in common is that we both treasure fabric! Thanks for a chance to win.

I also love mac and cheese, but I like to pair it with stewed tomatoes!! I've also milked a cow on my grandfather's farm, but not on a regular basis.

I too love a flea market or a yard sale! I tried painting after college, but unlike Dena I have never been good at it. I did learn how to be a good cook though!

I share a couple of things in common with Dena (besides loving her fabrics! ;o). I'm a flea market addict and I also milked cows as a teenager.

Thanks for sharing some fun facts about Dena and the chance to win some of her gorgeous fabrics.

Hi Dena!

I love your handpainted designs! You've created so many great fabrics for fussy cutting and fabric collage. I love painting, illustration, and textiles like you. I like that you find treasures at flea markets for inspiration. I love the hunt of finding vintage decorative objects. I've been to many estate sales and antique shops over the years! Oh and cooking. I can do it, but my husband loves to do it more than me and he's a great cook! Lucky me!

Well, I have 2 children and would like to have chickens, maybe when I retire. I have 2 cats, and we do have doves that visit our pool in the back. I too love macaroni and cheese (but usually with just grated cheese on top). My quick recipe is to make the sauce in my blender: place 1 TBSP flour, 1 Tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp of pepper (dry mustard if you like too), and 1 cup scalded milk & still hot in a blender. Blend for 1 minute. Add 1 cup cheddar cheese cubes (or shredded cheese), and blend another minute. Makes the smoothest cheese sauce ever. Pour over macaroni and bake (sprinkle with crumbs or extra cheese). If you're making fashion forward clothes for girls/tweens; please include some nice looking modest outfits; they seem scarce these days.

I can not cook. No joke about that. I have set tea bags on fire before. But, I also love your taste in food. Mac N Cheese with toasted bread sounds delicious heading into lunch hour.

I've been a thrift store, yard sale, and flea market aficionado for decades, but don't get so much chance since I gave up the car for both cost and the environment. Been in love with textiles since my mother taught me to sew as a child in the 1950s, and since retirement have taken up knotting, crocheting, quilting, and needlepoint. And I can cook, in fact, was once employed in the restaurant trade. One thing I don't have in common is that I'm a Canadian, so hope this deal is open to us to the north of you.
