My go-to block for charity quilts is the 9-patch. By varying size and arrangement, the final looks are endless.
I have been following the blog and so far my favorite block is Florida Rose #505 by Nancy Mahoney. Just loved the way she combined it to make a quilt.

I think my favorite block is the log cabin because the layouts are unlimited.
My favorite block is the Mariner's compass. I have made one of them and it seemed to take forever but is so beautiful.
I am enjoying this blog hop so much. Right now, Codex by Scott Murkin is my favorite block, one I aspire to make. However, as the Hop continues, I get a new favorite block every few minutes!

I really really like Tunnel Vision block #594 by Amy Rullkoetter. It reminds me of the twirlling stars in Van Gogh's Starry Night...I hope to make a quilt soon using this block with yellows, oranges, blues and purple!

I aspire to doing more free-form block-making. But I have to say I'm seeing a lot of fantastic color explorations on these blogs, which makes me very interested in looking at traditional blocks, again, and considering the possibilities.

One of my favorite blocks in this issue of 100 Blocks is Florida Rose by Nancy Mahoney. I'm new to quilting and would like to try applique.
My inspiration is from the Tic Tac Toe block. It is very easy and would make a darling quilt for my great nephew for Christmas. It would also be a great game as the same time to place and teach him. I can't wait to make this fun quilt. All of the designers and all of the sponsors involved have done a wonderful job.

Today I am really liking the Cat Nip block. But every day there are new ones, and I keep changing my mind!!! Guess I'll have to make several. I'm leaning to using all the animal blocks to make a quilt for my grandson.
I am in the process of making a butterfly quilt and I love the blocks! For me it has special meaning, Iam a cancer survivor and getting a butterfly tattoo for each year of surviving - so far I have 6. ;)

So far, my favorite block is the one created by Wayne Kollinger - Indian Cabins. I like traditional piecing and there are many blocks that I like to make including stars, log cabins, etc. Too many to list them all!

If you're talking about blocks in general, Log Cabin is a favorite. As for blocks from the magazine, I have made some from older issues but can't remember their names. One I've seen previewed from this issue is Doodle Bug -- it made me smile and I aspire to make it once I get the magazine.

I'm wishing now that I'd bought each issue as they came out. I didn't think there would be so many of them! I think having each volume would be a great resource to have! I'll have to see if back issues are available. My favorite block is Delectable Mountains. HSTs are a pain, but they do such marvelous things in a quilt! I've made two Delectable Mountain quilts.

Oh gosh, I have SO many quilt blocks I have on my list to make. The one at the very top is to make a Dresden block (and quilt). Also, this isn't a block, but an entire quilt that I just love. She didn't mention any specific block name so I'm unsure but you can view the quilt here. I just love the look of this quilt. I defnitely want to make this one.

I really like Wayne Kollinger's Indian Cabins block. It is on page 58. I love the way the block makes a secondary pattern too. I love pinwheel blocks a lot. They are so fun to make and the quilts seem to move when they are in them.

Hard to choose a favorite. I like trying new blocks. Samplers are, to me, more interesting than a single-block quilt. I guess, at this point, I really appreciate paper-pieced star blocks, like Cinzia White's.

I really like the Kaleidoscope Log Cabin. I have seen similar blocks in quilts before and have wanted to make one.
Blast & double blast! You folks make it hard to choose which block and then which fabric. I suppose I'll just have to try them all!
There are so many fantastic blocks that I am having a hard time choosing just one! I tend to favor traditional piecing,so if I have to pick just one block, I'll pick Codex by Scott Murkin. I think it would go together quickly, and I like the strong graphic lines.
I have used the patter "Crazy Eights" by Bits and Pieces for 8-10 quilt tops! It uses up a lot of scraps and is so easy to do-makes a wonderful quilt for charity donations!
