ReplyDeleteThese quilts are really inspiring. I am impressed with all of them, but the one that I kept thinking I would want to have and/or make myself is Heather's. I've never really loved the traditional pineapple pattern, so I see this as a success!!

ReplyDeleteIt was very hard to choose. As much as I love the Modern Traditional Improv Pineapple from Heather Jones I think Latifah's Buzzed Birds Quilt speaks so much to the modern quilt movement. So awesome! Good job everyone.

There were 2 quilts that I thought deserved to win, either Freshly Pieced or Quilt Dad, but after much deliberation and going back and forth, I picked Quilt Dad, only because it screamed at me a little louder than the other.

ReplyDeleteThese are marvelous quilts. My vote is for Quilt Dad, John Adams. His design seemed so original, and varied from popular style. The colors felt free, as unorganized as a tangled maypole dance. I thought it was the most creative.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the M Bohr and Lee Hemrick designs. They drew me to their colors and design, and I would love to make either of them.
I wasn't sure about Faith's quilt when she first started showing the pictures, but I was blown away when I saw it all put together. I absolutely love it!

ReplyDeleteBold and amazing is my choice - Quilt Dad's. I came over from his blog thinking I would look, but the odds were against voting for his even though I loved it. So many beautiful quilts but the brilliant boldness of his quilt wouldn't let me vote for any other. It is an in your face quilt with interesting details.
